My favorite part of doing my makeup is getting to play with different lippies and colors, however more often than not, I find myself gravitating towards a nude. It’s not that I’m afraid of using color; there’s just something about a nude that makes me feel polished, classy and balanced. So when I found that Bare Minerals released their Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lippies, I knew I needed to get my hands on them.
One thing I love about these lippies is how moisturizing they feel. While I find mattes visually pleasing, I hate the dry, cracked feeling most of them often leave me with. However, I didn’t have that issue with these. After washing off the lippie, I moisturized with my Burt’s Bee’s Lip Balm* and found my lips to be nicely moisturized by the next day.
And although this product is pricier than comparable drugstore brands like NYX, the Bare Minerals Lippies last much longer and require minimum touch ups. So if you’re a nude lover like myself and looking for an affordable matte lippie that doesn’t dry out your lips, I feel like Bare Minerals is the way to go!
